Mardaani 3: Ever since the trailer of Rani Mukherjee’s much-awaited film ‘Mardaani 3’ was released, it has created a lot of buzz. Once again, Rani is seen in her iconic role of fearless police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, but this time the case is more serious, disturbing and even more dangerous.
In Mardaani 3, Shivani Roy is on a mission to track down missing young girls, and what initially seems to be a case of beggar mafia or human trafficking soon turns out to be something much more sinister.

As the investigation deepens, Shivani discovers that a mysterious woman known as ‘Amma’ is behind these brutal crimes. The role is played by actress Mallika Prasad, and her scary screen presence has already shocked the audience.
The last scene of the teaser, in which Amma comes to Shivani Roy’s house and laughs a scary laugh, is enough to give goosebumps. This clearly proves that defeating this villain will not be easy.
As they say – a hero is only as strong as the villain, and in Mardaani 3, the villain looks more dangerous than ever.
So, who is Mallika Prasad?
Actress Mallika Prasad, who plays the role of ruthless Amma, has become the center of discussion since the release of the trailer. But she is not new to the world of acting. Mallika Prasad is an actor, director, educator and theater artist. Born in Bengaluru, she holds a Master’s degree in Performance Making from Goldsmiths, University of London. She later trained at the National School of Drama (NSD), where she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting.
A strong career in South Indian cinema
Mallika debuted in films in 1999 with ‘Kanuru Heggaditi’. He played the lead role in the 2001 film ‘Guptagamini’. He is a well-known name in Kannada cinema and has given memorable performances in these films:

Mallika Prasad has also been seen in the web series ‘Killer Soup’ with Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee. She was also seen in Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’, through which she proved her ability in different genres.
Apart from acting, she directed a short film named ‘For My Ella’ which won the Outstanding Achievement Award at both the Sundarbans International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Indie Short Film Festival.
