The second round matches were held yesterday which was the second day of the series. In this, Iranian Grandmaster Amin Tabatabeyi and Serbian Grandmaster Alexei Sarna faced each other in the second round of Masters Division. Amin Tabatabei won on the 45th move.
Indian Grandmaster Arjun Ericasi faced American Grandmaster Levon Aronian. In this, Arjun played Ericashi with white pieces. The game ended in a draw on the 36th move. Indian Grandmaster Vidit Gujarati faced Iranian Grandmaster Barham Maqsoodloo. In which Vidith Gujarati failed during the 45th piece move. This was his second defeat. Vidit Gujarati lost to Arjun Ericasi in the first match.
Grandmaster Arvind Chidambaram of India conducted a series of tests along with Grandmaster Maxime Vachier Lagrave of France. In which Arvind Chidambaram got the game drawn on the 23rd move.
