Latest News :- The first phase of voting for the assembly elections in Jharkhand state is taking place today (November 13) from 7 am. Voters have been casting their votes eagerly since morning. In such a situation, till 1 pm there is news of 46.25 percent voting. The Election Commission had announced that elections for a total of 81 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20. According to this, the first phase of voting is being held today on 43 seats including Ranchi, Kodharma, Barghada, Bodka, Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West, Hadiya, Sisai, Kumla, Karwa. Out of this, 17 constituencies are General constituencies, 20 constituencies are ST constituencies and 6 constituencies are SC constituencies.
The highest voting percentage was 52.11 percent in Kumla assembly constituency. 51.53 percent votes were cast in Loharthaka, 51.37 percent in Gundi, 50.71 percent in Seraikela, 50.66 percent in Simtheka and 50.41 percent in Ladehar assembly constituency. Similarly, Ramgarh – 46.81%, Garhwa – 46.75%, West Singhbhum – 46.71%, Hazaribagh – 45.77%, Chatra – 45.76%, East Singhbhum – 44.88%, Balamu – 44% votes were received. The capital Ranchi witnessed the lowest turnout of 40.98%.
Barrhead candidate Chief Minister Hemant Soran spoke to journalists after casting his vote. Then he said that I request everyone to go to their respective polling centers and vote. He said, “By the people of Jharkhand coming out of their homes and voting, we can strengthen the democracy of our country. There are 683 candidates in the fray in this election, including 73 women candidates. Former Chief Minister Sambhai Soren is contesting from Seraikela seat. Senior Congress leader and state health minister Banna Gupta is contesting from Jamshedpur West seat.
Geeta Koda, wife of former Chief Minister Madhu Koda, is contesting from Jagannathpur seat. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Majhi is contesting elections from Ranchi. The tenure of Jharkhand Assembly is ending on January 5 next year. In the last elections, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had won 30 seats. Its president Hemant Soran took oath as the Chief Minister. Its ally Congress won 16 seats. The main opposition party BJP won 25 seats.
