Twinkle Khanna, Amrita Fadnavis and Gayatri Ruia inaugurate “Treasures of India” Diwali decorations at Phoenix Palladium

Phoenix Palladium recently experienced a vibrant celebration where Twinkle Khanna and Amrita Fadnavis along with Gayatri Ruia inaugurated the mall's amazing festival decorations themed “Treasures of India”.

The highlight of this installation is the “Great Lantern of India,” an impressive 52 feet high lantern that captures the spirit of Indian festivals. There is also a magnificent handloom installation called “Weavers of Dreams”, dedicated to the rich tradition of Indian craftsmanship.

Additionally, the mall is decorated with traditional motifs, such as the royal peacock, which is referred to as the “royal guard.” To further add to the excitement of the festival, a pop-up market, named Eternal Market, invites customers to showcase a wide range of local brands.

Speaking on the topic, Gayatri Ruia said, “We have come a long way in the last 15 years since Palladium started, and we are all set to embrace the future. We have completely seen the global trends and also realized that what we have at home, in our country, is really very valuable. “This year, Palladium is honoring our heritage with its traditional and spectacular festival decorations.”

He further said, “For us, India's largest and tallest lantern is a symbol of what is to come for India, the kind of celebration and the joy that we see in our development. And everyone here has the same purpose: to celebrate progress and enjoy our heritage in a prosperous democracy.”

Amrita Fadnavis shares her excitement about the inauguration of India's tallest 52 feet lantern. “Being here fills me with joy, because this festival revolves around our traditions. Let's light up our homes with big and small lanterns and welcome positivity. ,

He further said that when homes are decorated with traditional elements like lanterns, rangoli and diyas, they truly come alive. This way, we not only keep our culture alive but also increase unity and happiness in our families.'

Speaking to the media about Diwali in the Khanna family, Twinkle Khanna revealed that every day feels like Diwali for her, as she regularly plays cards with her family—though the stakes are a little higher during the festive season !

Wishing Phoenix on its anniversary, she said, “I have been coming to the Phoenix Palladium since it opened. They always try their best during the festival to make it special for the people. The decorations are a beautiful reminder to appreciate the richness of our country—our artisans and crafts. I see this inspiration everywhere, even in the latest runway collections, in those fabulous new paisley skirts that are inspired by our heritage. So, yes, I think we need to appreciate it more.”

He believes that these festivals give us an opportunity to understand the importance of our cultural heritage and express gratitude towards it.
