New Delhi : Tulsi is considered the most sacred plant in Hindu religion. Most Hindu homes have a Tulsi plant and people worship it every day after taking bath. Mother Tulsi is also known as Vrinda who is a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. This is why the worship of Lord Vishnu is incomplete without Goddess Tulsi. Mother Lakshmi is said to reside in Tulsi. - Tulsi plant should not be touched after sunset, it has bad effects.
- -Tulsi should not be plucked even by mistake on the day of Ekadashi.
- While plucking basil leaves, keep in mind that first bend them and then pluck them peacefully.
- Tulsi group should never be broken by pulling it with nails.
- Water and lamp should not be lit in Tulsi on Sunday.
- While lighting a lamp in front of Tulsi, the lamp must be given a seat of rice.
