Supreme Court – LIVE HINDI KHABAR
Latest News :- A student with 45 per cent speech and language impairment has filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging that he was not given a place in a medical degree. The judge who heard this case was B.R. Kawai, K.V. Vishwanathan, in his judgment yesterday, said: Can a student be denied an MBBS seat merely because his physical disability is 44 to 45 per cent? This Court will not accept denial of right of admission to medical degree on this ground.
This would clearly be a violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India, which guarantees that all are equal before the law. Instead of rejecting admission of students on the basis of disability, the decision should be taken only after conducting medical examination. In this case, the report issued by the Medical Board regarding the student concerned is favorable to him. Therefore, it is expected that in the future, the National Medical Commission will adopt an inclusive approach and accommodate students with disabilities. The judges of the Supreme Court said this.
