1 plant, lots of fragrant flowers! Secret of proper care of mogra
Mogra Plant Care: Mogra i.e. jasmine flower enhances the beauty of every garden due to its pleasant fragrance and beauty. As beautiful as this plant is, its care is also equally easy. All you need is some right methods and a little meditation. If your Mogra plant is not flowering or the buds fall, then there is no need to panic. By adopting some easy measures given below, you can see the Mogra vine laden with flowers.
It is important to provide proper sunlight
Mogra plant needs good amount of sunlight. It should get at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight a day. If the plant is kept in shade or inside the room then the chances of flowering are reduced. Keep it in a place where it gets good morning sunlight.
Take special care of soil
Mogra grows well in light water absorbing soil and rich in organic elements. To plant in a pot, mix 2 parts of garden soil, 1 part of cow dung manure and 1 part of sand or coco peat and plant the sapling. This provides adequate oxygen to the roots of the plant and also maintains drainage.
Learn to water properly
Do not water the Mogra plant more than necessary. Water it daily in summer but only when the soil feels dry on top. In monsoon or winter, watering every second-third day is sufficient. Too much moisture causes the buds to rot. Therefore avoid this thing.
Prune from time to time
After the flowers have fallen, it is important to cut off old, dry and withered stems. This gives new growth to the plant and increases the chances of new buds appearing in it. Light pruning at the beginning of each season keeps the Mogra vine dense and full of flowers. It is good for the health of the plant.
nourish with local manure

There are many things in your home’s kitchen that can provide tremendous nutrition to the Mogra plant. Such as buttermilk or whey. By applying it diluted once a month, good bacteria grow in the roots. With this help, banana peels fulfill the deficiency of phosphorus and potassium in the plant. You can also use mustard cake water. Soak 1 spoon of cake in 1 liter water and filter it after 3-4 days, this helps in bud formation quickly.
protect from insects
White flies, aphids or mealybugs often attack the grass. For this, mix neem oil in water and spray it every 10-15 days. This provides natural protection from pests and maintains the quality of flowers. Summer is the best season of Mogra. But as the temperature increases the plant needs extra care. In summer, water in the morning or evening and arrange shade to protect from the strong afternoon sun.
