$1.5B Trump International Hung Yen golf, residence complex gets more land for development

The northern province of Hung Yen has leased another 81 hectares of land to Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corp, the developer of the US$1.5 billion Trump International Hung Yen golf and residence complex.

The lease is valid until May 2075. This is the second time the government has allocated land for the project which will eventually span 888 hectares and require the relocation of some neighborhoods.

Of the land, 86% should be earmarked for sports and recreational facilities, Hung Yen authorities have decreed.

The company owns an 85% stake in the project which it is developing in cooperation with The Trump Organization, a private company run by U.S. President Donald Trump and his son Eric.

Trump International Hung Yen will have two golf courses (one with 36 holes and the other with 18) integrated with residential areas with a planned population of 5,300 people.

It will also have a residential area which is expected to accommodate 29,700 residents, and the rest of the project will be dedicated to green spaces and parks.

At the groundbreaking ceremony in late May 2025, Eric, executive vice president of The Trump Organization, said the project is expected to be completed in just over two years, and targets becoming a major global golf destination.
