1 big decision of UP government, good news for land owners

Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step to simplify the process of land use under the State Development Authority and Special Area Development Authority. Now land owners will not be required to change the land use separately for urban or residential/commercial construction, rather the land will be considered suitable for that construction as soon as the map is passed.

Amendment in Revenue Code

Yogi Cabinet approved the Revenue Code Amendment Ordinance on Monday. Under the amendment in Section 80 of the Code, now after passing the map by the authority, the land use of the land will be automatically valid. Earlier, for residential or commercial construction on the land, it was mandatory to change the land use through a separate process.

Process made simple

This step has been taken in view of the delay and pending cases in land use change. Under the old rule, the applications of the Development Authority were sent to the Chief Town and Country Planner, on which quick decisions could not be taken. Now after the amendment, the process will be faster and the pending cases will be reviewed.

Policy Reforms and Economic Benefits

The objective of the government is to reduce obstacles in the process of construction and investment in the state. This step will not only provide relief to land owners but will also help in the economic growth of the state and creating a one trillion dollar economy. The Revenue Department will now prepare detailed rules, which will include all the provisions related to the amendment.

This change will not only provide convenience to land owners, but will also increase the efficiency of urban development authorities and simplify the process for investors.
