Patna. A major initiative has been taken in the direction of employment and economic empowerment for the women of Bihar. Under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana, women will be given a benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh 10 thousand in the form of financial assistance. The last date of application for this scheme has been fixed as 31st December, so interested women will have to apply in time.
Till now, under this scheme, assistance amount of Rs 10 thousand each has been distributed to 1 crore 56 lakh women. The Rural Development Department said that women who are involved in livelihood can apply by going to their village organization. At the same time, women who are not yet involved in livelihood will have to become members first. They can avail the benefits of the scheme only after becoming members.

Urban Jeevika member women can also apply by participating in a special meeting organized by their level organization or municipal body. The objective of this initiative of the government is to empower women economically and provide them self-employment and employment opportunities. Through this scheme, women will not only get financial help, but their social and economic condition will also improve.
