123 runs in 10 overs, CSK player made a big unwanted world record

Puducherry captain and all-rounder Aman Khan (CSK) made an unwanted world record in his name. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jharkhand on Monday (29 December), Aman gave 123 runs in 10 overs. This is the worst bowling performance by any bowler in men’s List A cricket history.

Thanks to Kumar Kushagra’s century and Anukul Roy’s 98 runs, Jharkhand scored 368 runs for 7 wickets in Ahmedabad. For Puducherry, three bowlers including Aman bowled the quota of ten overs. But Aman was very expensive and gave runs at an economy rate of 12.3. In response, Puducherry team was all out for 235 runs in 41.4 overs.

Earlier, the record for the worst bowling performance in a List A match was held by Arunachal Pradesh fast bowler Mibom Mosu, who had given 116 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Bihar this month itself. That match was also in the news for another reason, because Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar became the youngest player to score a century in Men’s List A cricket, he achieved this feat at the age of just 14.

Aman made his List A debut for Saurashtra in 2021, after which he joined the Puducherry team. In the mini auction of IPL 2026, Aman was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 40 lakh. Earlier he was a part of Delhi Capitals team in 2023. He made his IPL debut in 2022 playing for Kolkata Knight Riders.
