India's star batsman Virat Kohli created history by scoring a century in the second innings of the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 100 runs in 143 balls, in which he hit eight fours and two sixes. Let us tell you that this is the 100th century of Kohli's professional cricket career.
Broke Bradman's record
Kohli has come joint 15th in the list of players who have scored most centuries in Test cricket, surpassing the great Don Bradman. Kohli has scored 30 centuries in this format, while Bradman has 29 centuries to his name.
Most centuries in Australia
Kohli has reached joint second position in terms of scoring most Test centuries as a foreign cricketer in Australia, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar (6 centuries). He equaled England's Wally Hammond, who has scored seven centuries in Australia. This is his 10th century in international cricket on Australian soil and he has become the first foreign cricketer to reach this figure.
Sunil Gavaskar's equal
As an Indian batsman, Kohli has jointly reached the first position with former batsman Sunil Gavaskar in terms of scoring the most centuries in a country. Sunil Gavaskar had scored seven Test centuries against West Indies on their soil.

For India, he has reached third place in the list of players who have taken the most catches (non-wicketkeeper) in Test cricket. Rahul Dravid is first with 210 catches, and VVS Laxman is second with 135 catches.
