Kolkata. Junior doctors may go on strike once again in West Bengal. Due to this, now Sagar Dutt Medical College and Hospital has been built in Kamarhati, Kolkata. After the death of a female patient at Sagar Dutt Medical College last Friday evening, her relatives beat up junior doctors and nurses. Due to this the junior doctors are agitated. West Bengal Junior Doctors Front has warned of another strike from Monday against the assault in Sagar Dutt Medical College. This evening they are going to take out a procession by lighting candles in all the medical colleges.

Junior doctors held a general body meeting of their association. After which he said that the West Bengal government has not fulfilled the assurance given regarding the safety of doctors. Junior doctors have alleged that the situation in government hospitals of West Bengal remains the same. Junior doctors said that there is a hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday in the RG Kar Medical College case. After seeing what the West Bengal government says in the court regarding security in government hospitals and what is the attitude of the court, they will decide about going on strike again.

Earlier, due to the incident of rape and murder of a female doctor in RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata, junior doctors had come out on protest. He went on strike for 42 days. There was also a dharna for a long time in front of the health building. After this, CM Mamata Banerjee had talked to the doctors and accepted all their demands and announced to make strong security arrangements, but now the atmosphere has heated up again due to the way doctors and nurses were beaten up in Sagar Dutt Medical College. If junior doctors go on strike again, then problems may arise for Mamata Banerjee's government once again.
