Bahraich Violence Encounter: Bahraich violence accused Sarfaraz and Talim injured in police encounter, were trying to escape to Nepal

New Delhi. After the recent violence in Bahraich, UP Police's action is continuing. On Thursday, the police encountered the main accused Rinku alias Sarfaraz and his associate Mohammad Talim. In this encounter, both the accused were injured by police bullets. Sarfaraz is the same accused who is accused of shooting and killing Ram Gopal Mishra. Sarfaraz was absconding after the incident and the police was continuously searching for him.

Sarfaraz was planning to escape to Nepal

Police received information on Thursday that Sarfaraz was trying to escape to Nepal. After this the police immediately cordoned off the Handa Basehari canal near the Nepal border. When the police surrounded Sarfaraz and his associate Mohammad Talim, both of them started firing at the police instead of surrendering. In retaliation, the police also opened fire, in which Sarfaraz and Talim were injured. The police immediately took both of them to the hospital, where their condition remains critical.

ADG's statement

ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash said that a total of five accused have been arrested in the police encounter. There was firing from both sides between the police and the accused. The main accused Sarfaraz and Mohammad Talim were injured in this encounter near the Nepal border. Police admitted both of them to the hospital, where according to doctors, both of them were shot in the leg and their condition is stable.

Violence broke out on 13 October

It is noteworthy that there was a dispute between two parties during the immersion of idols in Mahsi area of ​​Hardi police station area of ​​Bahraich on October 13. The dispute escalated so much that a young man named Ram Gopal Mishra was shot dead by one side. After this murder, tension spread in the area and violence broke out. People set fire to shops, vehicles and houses.

Police and PAC deployment

To control the situation, the district police administration deployed forces on a large scale. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a team of senior police officers from Lucknow was sent to Bahraich. Also, troops of PAC, CRPF and RAF were deployed in the violence affected areas. ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash himself entered the field and took strict action against the rioters. In a viral video, he was seen warning the rioters with a pistol in his hand.

Strict action against the accused

After the violence, Ram Gopal Mishra's family had met the Chief Minister and demanded strict action against the accused. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed the DGP to take strict action. Police conducted sustained raids in search of the accused, resulting in the capture of Sarfaraz and his associate Mohammad Talim before they could escape to Nepal.
