According to the information, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will file her Lok Sabha by-election nomination from Wayanad on October 23. Along with him, all the senior leaders of the party including Rahul Gandhi, mother Sonia Gandhi and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will also go to Wayanad.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had fielded Rahul Gandhi on Wayanad seat. Rahul Gandhi had defeated CPI candidate Annie Raja from Wayanad seat. Apart from Wayanad seat, Rahul Gandhi had also contested elections from Rae Bareli seat of UP and there he won against BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh. Meanwhile, from the Left parties, senior CPI leader Satyan Mokeri will contest from Wayanad to challenge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. If Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wins the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, she will be seen in Parliament along with her brother Rahul Gandhi.
