Navya Haridas is a mechanical engineer by profession. 36 year old Navya Haridas has obtained B.Tech degree from KMCT Engineering College, Calicut University. From here he obtained his engineering degree in 2007. Navya Haridas is the general secretary of BJP's Mahila Morcha in Kerala. She has also won the election for the post of councilor twice in Kozhikode Municipal Corporation. According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Navya Haridas has a clean image. There is no criminal case against him. In the information given to the party, Navya Haridas has said that she has assets worth Rs 1 crore 29 lakh 56 thousand 264. He also has to repay a loan of Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand 978.

Navya Haridas does not have to compete only with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Wayanad. Navya Haridas will also have to face CPI candidate Satyan Mokeri in the by-election of Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Satyan Mokeri is a senior leader of CPI. Mokeri has already challenged Priyanka Gandhi Vadra by saying that if she wins the Wayanad elections, she will stay here and listen to the problems of the people. The reason for this is that after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad in 2019, Rahul Gandhi never lived here permanently. However, his office was in Wayanad and Rahul Gandhi also visited Wayanad from time to time.
