Mainpuri. Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha MP and Akhilesh Yadav's uncle Ram Gopal Yadav has given an objectionable and indecent statement about Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. In fact, the Chief Justice had said that he was not able to decide anything before the decision on Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid. In such a situation, he prayed to God and then took the right decision. The Supreme Court had given its verdict in 2019 in the case of Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid. The 5-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court had given its verdict in favor of the Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya. The head of that bench was the then Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi. Whereas, the current Chief Justice DY Chandrachud was also included in the bench that gave the verdict regarding Ram Temple. DY Chandrachud had said in a program in Goa on Saturday itself that some people praise the Supreme Court when the decision is in their favor and start criticizing it when the decision is in opposition. Now the matter of indecent words coming out of the mouth of Ram Gopal Yadav about the Chief Justice may gain further significance. The reason for this is that Chief Justice DY Chandrachud is from Maharashtra and assembly elections are also to be held in this state on November 20.
