Police custody of 4 accused in Baba Siddiqui murder case extended again, court gives remand till October 25

New Delhi. Mumbai Police has got a big success today in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The court has ordered to extend the police remand of four accused till October 25. The police presented these four accused in the court today, because their remand period was ending today. The police argued with the court that more time was needed to interrogate these accused, after which the court decided to extend the remand.

Remand of four accused extended

The names of the four accused whom the police presented in the court are Dharamraj Kashyap, Gurnail Singh, Harish Balak Ram and Praveen Lonkar. The police told the court that these accused have to be interrogated along with other arrested persons so that the case can be investigated in depth. In view of this, the court has extended their remand till October 25.

Why did the remand increase?

The police told the court that many links related to this murder are still emerging, which require thorough investigation to confirm them. The police also have to find out the money transactions between the accused and their relationship with other accused. Apart from this, it is also necessary to check the veracity of the statements given by the accused. Keeping all these facts in mind, the police asked for additional time from the court, which was accepted by the court.

10 accused have been arrested

A total of 10 people have been arrested so far in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, including two shooters. All these accused are currently in police custody. Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Bandra area on 12 October. Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for this murder through a Facebook post. The police are still investigating the case and are conducting intensive inquiries after new links have emerged.

Police investigation continues

Police say that to further investigate the case, it is necessary to interrogate the accused in depth. For this reason, all the accused will be interrogated face to face so that the true picture of the case can be revealed.
