Shailbala Martin is a 2009 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. She got promoted and became IAS. At present he is posted on the post of Additional Secretary in the Public Administration Department. Shailbala Martin, originally from Jhabua, herself comes from the Christian community. He has studied from Holkar Science College, Indore. Shailbala has held many important positions including DM of Niwari district. Earlier, Shailbala had also been in the news regarding her marriage. After remaining unmarried till the age of 56, Shailbala married Rakesh Pathak, one year older than her and a journalist by profession, at the age of 57. Shailbala, known for her outspokenness, had earlier targeted Christian religious leaders.
