When will it start getting cold?, Meteorological Department gave the latest update, Weather report says cold and chilly days will start after second week of November
New Delhi. October is coming to an end. By now the cold should have started, but at present it is hot during the day and the temperature is decreasing late at night. So when will winter start? The Meteorological Department has given this information. According to the Meteorological Department, the onset of cold may be a little late. Due to active Western Disturbance, there is snowfall in the mountains. Its effect will be visible after about a week. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, there may also be rain at some places in the plains states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
Only after heavy snowfall starts in the hilly areas, the cold is expected to increase in the plains. Due to snow falling on the mountains and strong winds, the cold increases in the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, from the second week of November, wind will blow in the plains and due to this the cold will start increasing. The feeling of heat currently felt during the day will also end after the second week of November. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of strong winds at many places in the plains on Thursday i.e. 31st October. So currently you will have to wait for about 15 days for the severe cold.
The Meteorological Department has already told that this year it is going to be very cold due to the effect of La Nina. In La Nina the temperature of land and sea surface becomes the same. Due to La Nina, there has been more than average monsoon rainfall this year. Due to this effect, there was severe heat this year. Whereas, on the contrary, when El Nino is affected, the temperature of the sea surface remains lower than that of the land. This reduces heat, rain and cold.
