Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed 5 Naxalites in a major operation. It is being told that two security forces soldiers have been injured in the encounter with Naxalites. An encounter took place between security forces and Naxalites in the early hours of Saturday in the dense forests of Abujhmad in Kanker-Narayanpur border of Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. After getting information about the presence of Naxalites in the area, the soldiers started a search operation here late on Friday night. According to Chhattisgarh Police, when the security forces reached the dense forest while searching for the Naxalites, firing started on them. The soldiers returned fire and killed 5 Naxalites.

According to Chhattisgarh Police, till the last information was received, firing was going on between security forces and Naxalites in the area. The soldiers injured in the encounter have been airlifted and brought to Raipur for treatment. His condition is stable. Detailed information about this is yet to come. Chhattisgarh Police has described this encounter as important. Bastar Range IG Sundarraj P told the media that bodies of 3 Naxalites have been recovered from the encounter site of Abujhmad. Apart from this, a large number of weapons have also been found here. Earlier this week, security forces had killed three Naxalites, including a senior platoon commander carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh, in Bijapur district. The soldiers of District Reserve Guard i.e. DRG, STF, CRPF and its Cobra battalion were involved in that operation.

In the last few months, security forces have intensified their operations against Naxalites. Many strongholds of Naxalites have been demolished in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that at any cost the Naxalite problem has to be ended by the year 2026. Under this, all-round siege of Naxalites is being done. Till now, many big Naxalite commanders have been killed by the security forces. Whereas, at many places a large number of Naxalites have also surrendered in the last 2 years.
