Dangerous air pollution in and around Delhi, people are forced to breathe poisonous air, Severe air pollution in Delhi and adjoining areas as aqi remains more than 400

New Delhi. The country's capital Delhi and surrounding cities are in the grip of severe air pollution. The air quality index i.e. AQI in Delhi remains above 400. Due to this, a deep blanket of smog was seen in Delhi and surrounding areas on Saturday also. Air pollution was prevalent in Delhi even before Diwali. It has been continuously increasing since Diwali. Earlier the weather department had estimated that the wind would become stronger from Friday and this would reduce air pollution, but this did not happen. Wind is blowing slowly in and around Delhi. As a result, people are facing poisonous air.

There are two main reasons for air pollution in Delhi. Firstly, farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Western UP are burning stubble in their fields. Secondly, diesel powered trucks and buses coming from other states. A case is registered against farmers for burning stubble and they are fined. Despite this, like every year, thousands of cases of stubble burning have been registered this year too. A case of stubble burning was also reported in an area of Haryana on Saturday. At the same time, it is not possible to ban diesel powered trucks and buses coming from other states. The reason for this is that important things and people come to Delhi from nearby areas through them. In this way, Delhi does not seem to be getting relief from severe air pollution at present.

Air pollution increases every year before winter in Delhi. The way to overcome this has not been found yet. Delhi government sprinkles water every time, construction is stopped and also tries to control the number of vehicles through odd and even. Even after doing all this, the people of Delhi and surrounding areas are not free from air pollution. This year also people are having to face the same thing. The special thing is that the Supreme Court has many times given instructions to take concrete steps to deal with pollution, but the situation remains the same.
