New Delhi. Just before the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback. Senior party leader and Delhi minister Kailash Gehlot resigned from the party on Sunday. Kailash Gehlot sent his resignation to the party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi, which has been accepted. Many types of reactions are coming to light on this, in which a phase of blame game has started between AAP and BJP.
Pressure of ED and Income Tax cases: AAP made allegations
AAP sources say that many ED and Income Tax cases were pending against Kailash Gehlot. He was also raided several times, due to which he was unable to face investigation. According to sources, Gehlot was left with no other option but to resign. He decided to join BJP. The party termed it a “dirty conspiracy” by the BJP. AAP spokespersons alleged that BJP is trying to spoil the atmosphere in Delhi elections by using ED and CBI.
