Reposting this post, PM Modi initially wrote “Well said” and praised the truth coming out through the film.
'The Sabarmati Report' is based on the Godhra incident.
This film is based on the horrific fire incident that took place in Godhra, Gujarat on 27 February 2002. That day, a bogie of the Sabarmati Express was set on fire, in which 59 kar sevaks were killed. After this, communal riots broke out in Gujarat, in which about 1000 people lost their lives. It is noteworthy that Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at the time of Godhra incident. A few days after the incident, he constituted a commission on March 2, whose job was to investigate the incident.
'The Sabarmati Report' is directed by Dheeraj Sarna. Vikrant Massey has played the role of a journalist in this. Along with him, Riddhi Dogra and Raashi Khanna are also seen in important roles. The film got a slow start at the box office, but it is getting good response from the audience over the weekend.
