New Delhi. Kailash Gehlot, former minister of Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party government, joined BJP today. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave membership of BJP to Kailash Gehlot. During this, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other party leaders were also present. After joining BJP, Kailash Gehlot said that leaving Aam Aadmi Party was not an easy decision for me. I joined the Aam Aadmi Party inspired by the ideas of Anna Hazare and have worked tirelessly for the people of Delhi both as an MLA and a minister.

Gehlot said, those who think that I have taken this decision under pressure from ED and CBI, I want to clarify that I have never done anything under anyone's pressure. In political life, despite being an MLA and minister in the Aam Aadmi Party, I never did any work under pressure. While welcoming Kailash Gehlot to BJP, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that today former Delhi Minister Kailash Gehlot has joined BJP. This is an important turning point in Delhi politics as a senior minister of Delhi government is now from BJP. I am sure that Gehlot ji must have taken the decision to join BJP after being impressed by the policies of PM Modi and the functioning of BJP, I welcome him to the party.
