A Dalit girl was murdered during the by-election in Karhal assembly seat. The family members of the Dalit girl have accused Samajwadi Party people of murder. The girl's father alleges that his daughter had talked about voting for BJP instead of Samajwadi Party. After which Samajwadi Party people took his life. This matter gave BJP an issue against Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party. BJP said that SP's slogan – If you don't vote for cycle, you will strangle it. BJP said that Dalit daughter was brutally murdered by SP in Karhal.

BJP has strongly raised the issue of murder of Dalit girl in Karhal. UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary raised the issue of murder that happened before voting through his X account. UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary wrote on Twitter that SP Prashant Yadav along with his associates killed a Dalit daughter in Karhal. Just because he refused to vote on a bicycle. Bhupendra Chaudhary took the name of Samajwadi Party in this matter in another tweet. He also described the terrible game of death with the Dalit daughter.
