Due to Juma, police and PAC deployed at every nook and corner outside Sambhal's Jama Masjid.

New Delhi. A security cordon has been prepared outside Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. In view of Friday, policemen and PAC personnel have been deployed at various places. Today is the first Friday after the court ordered a survey in Sambhal's Jama Masjid. A large number of Muslims will gather for Namaz, hence in view of the possibility of any untoward incident, police patrolling has been done at every nook and corner. In fact, regarding the Jama Masjid of Sambhal, Hindus have claimed that it was Shri Harihar Temple.

Petitioner Harishankar Jain from the Hindu side has claimed in his petition quoting Baburnama that according to the English translation, the temple of Lord Vishnu was converted into a mosque by Babar's courtier. Historian Dr. Omji Upadhyay supported this claim of the lawyer. After which the Civil Court had ordered a survey of the mosque. Advocate Hari Shankar Jain and son advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain have fought cases by filing petitions in many cases including Babri Masjid of Ayodhya, Gyanvapi Masjid of Varanasi.

Following the order of the Sambhal Civil Court, a survey was conducted on November 19 in the presence of the local police of Sambhal and members of the management committee of the mosque. Since then the police is on alert. At the same time, the Muslim side termed this claim of the Hindu side as completely baseless, just like it had done in the cases of Ayodhya and Kashi. At present the case is pending in the court. Meanwhile, in this matter, Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi said that at present police patrolling has been increased in the district. Right now the situation is normal but if anyone tries to spoil the anarchist atmosphere then strict action will be taken against him.
