In the 81-seat assembly, the JMM-led India alliance has won 56 seats, which is 15 more than the majority figure of 41. After this historic victory, it has now been decided that Hemant Soren will be the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. His swearing-in ceremony will take place on November 28.
Hemant Soren submitted resignation to the Governor
Hemant Soren has resigned from his post as Chief Minister. He staked claim to form the India Alliance government before the Governor. Soren said, “The swearing-in ceremony of the new government will take place on November 28. We have started the process of forming a coalition government and have submitted our resignation to the Governor. Senior leaders of Congress and RJD were also present during this period.”

Will become Chief Minister for the second consecutive time
Hemant Soren has become the first leader of Jharkhand who will hold the post of Chief Minister for the second consecutive time. After this victory, posters were put up on the streets of Ranchi, on which it was written, “Sabke dilon par gaya, Sherdil Soren has come again.” Expressing his gratitude to the people of Jharkhand, Soren said that this victory is the result of their hard work and public trust. At the same time, the opposition BJP alliance was reduced to only 24 seats, which is 13 less than the 41 seats required for majority.
Congress leaders congratulated
After the election results, Congress leaders met Hemant Soren at the Chief Minister's residence. Former Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur said, “We had said earlier also that we will form the government and now we are going to form the government once again with full confidence.”
