So that other important issues related to the public can be raised. TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien expressed this opinion of the party while talking to the media on Wednesday. It is clear from TMC's stand that it is not considering the Adani issue as big as Congress does.

Derek O'Brien said that TMC wants the proceedings of Parliament to continue. So that public issues can be raised. The TMC MP said that due to the uproar in Parliament over the Adani issue, other important issues are not being discussed. At the same time, TMC Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar also said that there should be a discussion in Parliament. The TMC MP said that the party does not want any single issue to influence the proceedings of Parliament. Instead, the opposition should hold the government responsible for its failures. TMC has already said that it is definitely a part of the opposition alliance, but its strategy on issues may be different.

Earlier, TMC Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee had demanded during a program that Congress should give up its arrogance and accept Mamata Banerjee as the leader of the opposition alliance. Kalyan Banerjee had said that if BJP has to be removed from power, then all the opponents will have to give up their ego. The TMC MP had said that Mamata Banerjee will have to become the face of the opponents. Kalyan Banerjee had also said that there is a lack of leadership in the opposition and only Mamata Banerjee can defeat BJP.
