New Delhi. Sambhal's SP MP Ziaur Rahman Burke is now afraid of arrest. He has filed a petition in Allahabad High Court demanding quashing of the FIR registered against him. Police had registered a named FIR against MP Burke in the Sambhal violence case. Police allege that people became angry due to the inflammatory speech of the SP MP, which led to violence. At the same time, the SP MP says that he was in Bengaluru on the day the violence took place. Burke termed the FIR lodged against him as a political conspiracy.
In the petition filed in the Allahabad High Court, it has been said on behalf of MP Burke that he is an educated person and has nothing to do with this communal violence. In this violence, the police has also registered an FIR against Sohail Iqbal, son of local MLA Iqbal Mahmood. 7 separate FIRs have been registered in this case. Let us tell you that on November 24, the ASI team had arrived to survey Sambhal Jama Masjid. Then the anger of the people of Muslim community flared up and within no time huge violence took place.
In this horrific violence, four people were killed while the CO was shot in the leg and the SDM's leg was fractured. Since the violence, Sambhal police is continuously running a search operation there. Recently, the police has opened the lock of a temple which was closed for 46 years in the locality of SP MP Burke and also freed the ancient well which was blocked. CM Yogi had said in the Assembly two days ago that no one guilty of Sambhal violence will be spared, each one will be punished for his actions.
