PM Narendra Modi will visit Kuwait, this will be the first visit by any Indian Prime Minister in 43 years
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two-day visit to Kuwait on Saturday, December 21. This will be the first visit of an Indian PM to Kuwait in the last 43 years. Information regarding Modi's visit to Kuwait has been shared by the Indian Foreign Ministry. Earlier this month, Kuwait's Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya visited India, when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kuwait's Foreign Minister had invited Modi to visit Kuwait on behalf of his country's ruler, the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During his visit to Kuwait on December 21 and 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with the Ruler of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. During this period, many important topics can be discussed between the two leaders. The Prime Minister will also meet people of the Indian community living in Kuwait. Kuwait is the only country in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) which Prime Minister Modi has not visited yet. At present Kuwait is also the chairperson of GCC. Let us tell you that apart from Kuwait, GCC includes United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.

The Ministry of External Affairs says that India and Kuwait have traditionally close and friendly relations which are rooted in history. Economically also, there are strong relations between the people of India and Kuwait. India is one of Kuwait's top trading partners. Kuwait is an important supplier of crude oil and LPG to India. The Indian community is the largest expatriate community in Kuwait, with more than 10 lakh Indians living here. This visit of PM Narendra Modi will provide an opportunity to further strengthen the multifaceted relations between India and Kuwait.
