'Jawaharlal Nehru had called Babasaheb Ambedkar a traitor', BJP issued a letter and made a strong attack on Congress, BJP releases letter of Jawahar Lal Nehru says he termed Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar as traitor.

New Delhi. There is a fierce war of rhetoric going on between BJP and the opposition on the issue of insulting Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. In this battle, Congress and opposition parties are clipping a small part of Home Minister Amit Shah's statement and claiming that he insulted Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. At the same time, BJP and its allies are accusing Congress of continuously insulting Ambedkar. Earlier too, BJP has been cornering Congress by issuing letters insulting Ambedkar. Now BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya has first released PM Jawaharlal Nehru's letter on social media and accused him of insulting Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar

The letter from Jawaharlal Nehru that Amit Malviya has released is dated 26 January 1946. The letter was written to Congress leader and the country's first Health Minister Rajkumari Amrit Kaur. Citing the contents of the letter, Amit Malviya has alleged that Nehru had said that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was in touch with the British. According to Amit Malviya, in this way Nehru had called Ambedkar a traitor. In the letter issued by Amit Malviya, it is written that Bhimrao Ambedkar has been continuously insulting Congress and Congress leaders. Unless he apologizes, there will be no relation with him. It is written in the letter that under the Poona (Pune) Agreement, work will be done to provide political benefits to the Scheduled Castes.

BJP has accused Congress of portraying Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar as being associated with the British and this may cause difficulty in replying to the main opposition party of the country. BJP has already been alleging that Jawaharlal Nehru defeated Bhimrao Ambedkar in the elections. BJP has also been alleging that Congress did not save the legacy of Bhimrao Ambedkar and did not even give him Bharat Ratna. Now by citing the letter of former PM Nehru, BJP has made an even bigger allegation and has heated up the issue of insulting Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar against Congress.
