New Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal's troubles have increased again in the Delhi liquor policy scam case. Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena has given approval to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to prosecute Kejriwal. The Enforcement Directorate had sought permission on December 5 to prosecute Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal. Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi early next year. In such a situation, a new problem has arisen in front of Arvind Kejriwal. ED had arrested Arvind Kejriwal in the same case in March.

In the charge sheet filed in the court, ED had described Arvind Kejriwal as the kingpin of the Delhi Liquor Policy scam. Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was also accused of being the mastermind of this scam. ED alleges that Kejriwal and Sisodia made changes in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22, in which a bribe of Rs 100 crore was taken. Out of these Rs 100 crore, Aam Aadmi Party used Rs 45 crore in the assembly elections in Goa. ED has arrested BRS Legislative Council member K. for managing the South Lobby. Kavita was also arrested. AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also had to go to jail in the liquor policy scam.

The matter is also being investigated by the CBI. However, all the people who were arrested by ED and CBI in this scam have now got bail. Ever since the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, BJP was continuously pressurizing him to resign from the post of Delhi CM. After getting bail from the Supreme Court, Kejriwal resigned from the post of Delhi CM and made his cabinet minister Atishi the Chief Minister.
