New Delhi. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has sought land from the Central Government for the memorial of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Kharge has written a letter to the government in this regard, in which it has been said that the last rites of Manmohan Singh should be performed at the same place where his memorial can be built, this will be the true tribute to him. For this, Congress has also talked to the family members of Manmohan Singh. The Congress Working Committee also passed a condolence resolution on the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Earlier, Modi cabinet had also passed a condolence resolution.

Late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be cremated tomorrow morning. Before this, his mortal remains will be kept at the Congress headquarters for last darshan. Manmohan Singh died at AIIMS on Thursday night. After this, a crowd of people gathered at his house since morning to pay their respects. Leaders of all parties including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu rose above party politics and paid their last respects to the former Prime Minister. Reached his residence and paid homage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also released a video message remembering Manmohan Singh after offering flowers on his mortal remains. In this video message, PM Modi remembered Manmohan Singh by discussing his personality, his nature as well as his work done in the interest of the country. Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, in her condolence message on the death of Manmohan Singh, said that his demise is a personal loss for me. He was both my friend and mentor. He was a symbol of intelligence and humility.
