With the announcement of election dates, the rhetoric between political parties has intensified. Especially the conflict between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding Purvanchali voters has increased.
Politics heated up on Purvanchal Samman March
BJP has expressed strong protest against Arvind Kejriwal's remarks on the people of Purvanchal. BJP workers took out 'Purvanchal Samman March' from Ashok Road to Kejriwal's residence on Feroze Shah Road. During this, BJP workers raised slogans against Kejriwal and staged a protest outside his residence.

Responding to BJP's protest, Kejriwal said, “BJP has now become a protest party.” Meanwhile, Delhi Police used water cannon to control the protesters and detained several BJP workers.
AAP's allegation: BJP is cutting votes of Purvanchalis
AAP leader Sanjay Singh accused BJP that the party is deliberately removing Purvanchali voters from the voter list. He said, “Attempts are being made to cut off the votes of the people of Purvanchal because they vote for the Aam Aadmi Party.”
AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj also attacked the BJP, saying, “When BJP President JP Nadda called Purvanchalis as infiltrators, where were Manoj Tiwari and Purvanchal Morcha? Even when Chhath Ghat was demolished, BJP remained silent.”
BJP's counterattack: AAP insulted
On the other hand, BJP says that Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal have insulted the people of Purvanchal. Party leaders claim that AAP is raising the issue of Purvanchal for electoral gains.
