Bengaluru. This is no less than a big shock for Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. Enforcement Directorate ED has seized assets worth Rs 142 crore of BM Parvati, wife of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. ED has taken this major action against Siddaramaiah's wife in the MUDA scam case. The market value of the properties of Parvati Siddaramaiah seized by ED is around Rs 300 crore. The property of Parvati Siddaramaiah has been seized by the investigating agency under the Money Laundering Act. All these properties were in the names of real estate workers and agents. According to the information, the seized property was allotted to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvati.

On a complaint, the Lokayukta police of Mysuru had registered a case against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvati and son under the Anti-Corruption Act and other sections of the IPC. It is alleged that Siddaramaiah, through his political influence, acquired 14 sites in the name of his wife BM Parvati. Muda allotted all these sites in exchange for taking 3 acres and 14 guntas of Parvati's land. The value of the property that Muda had taken from Parvati was Rs 3.24 lakh. Whereas, the cost of the sites allotted is around Rs 56 crore. The name of former Muda Commissioner DB Natesh has come up in this case.

ED had started money laundering investigation in this matter after the case was registered by Lokayukta police. ED went to Muda's office and took all the documents in its possession. It is being told that during the raids, it was also revealed that apart from 14 sites, many other sites were illegally given by Muda to the people doing real estate work. Which was later sold at a huge profit. Money laundering was done from the money received from this sale. A case of benami property has also come to light in the Muda scam case. After the issue erupted, Siddaramaiah's wife Parvati had written a letter to Muda proposing to surrender all the 14 sites. At the same time, Siddaramaiah, who was summoned for questioning on the summons of Lokayukta police, has denied any involvement of himself or his family in this.
