New Delhi. In the first Mann Ki Baat of the year 2025, PM Narendra Modi remembered the Republic Day and narrated the speeches of eminent personalities to the people. Modi said that this time we are meeting in Mann Ki Baat only on the third Sunday, because next Sunday is Republic Day. He described this time's Republic Day celebrations as special and said that it is 75 years since the Constitution came into force. On this occasion, Modi paid tribute to all the great personalities who gave the Constitution to the country. Reciting excerpts from the speech of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on mutual cooperation, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on equality and the speech of the first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Modi said that the thoughts of the members in the Constituent Assembly are our great heritage. He called upon the people to exercise maximum franchise and contribute to strengthening the democratic system of the country.

PM Modi also discussed Prayagraj Mahakumbh in Mann Ki Baat. He said that there is no discrimination or casteism in this. Modi said that people from every region of the country come to Mahakumbh and the rich and the poor are united. He said that from Kumbakonam to Tirukkad-Yur, Kood-Vasal to Tirucherai, there are many temples whose traditions are linked to Kumbh. Kumbh, Pushkaram and Ganga Sagar Fair are the festivals which enhance our social interaction, harmony and unity. In Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said that he is proud that Indian space-tech startup Pixel has successfully launched India's first private satellite constellation named Firefly. Scientists have done space docking of satellites. India has become the fourth country to achieve this feat.

Modi also mentioned Naugaon in Assam. He said that this is the birthplace of the great personality Srimanta Shankardev. Apart from being beautiful, this place is also a big abode of elephants. Herds of elephants used to destroy crops in this area. People of 100 villages were very worried, but the villagers also understood the helplessness of the elephants. Therefore the villagers thought of finding a solution. A team of villagers was formed, whose name was Hathi Bandhu. The Hathi brothers wisely planted Napier grass on about 800 bighas of barren land. Elephants liking this grass reduced their visits to the fields. PM Modi said that it is a matter of happiness that in the last two months, two new ones were added to our country, Guru Ghasidas-Tamor Pingla Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh and Ratapani Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh. The PM also talked about the startups created in the country.

He said that in a state like Nagaland, there was an increase of more than 200 percent in the registration of startups last year. He praised Deepak Nabam of Arunachal Pradesh and said that he runs a living home for mentally ill and disabled people. Modi met Nurse K in Kavaratti, Lakshadweep. Also remembered the service of Hindumbi. Then KG Mohammed, who strengthened the marine ecosystem in Minicoy Island, was also appreciated. PM Narendra Modi also mentioned the strengthening of women's support groups by getting GI tag for virgin coconut oil produced in Nicobar.
