JDU removes Manipur unit president, announces continued support to NDA
New Delhi: Janata Dal United has removed its party unit president in Manipur Biren Singh from his post on charges of indiscipline. JDU national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad has clarified that the party's support to the NDA government in Manipur will continue. Rajeev Ranjan said, “The confusion that is being spread about Manipur is completely wrong and baseless. The party has taken cognizance of the matter and the Manipur unit president has been relieved from his post. Our support to NDA was there earlier also and will continue in future also. The state unit took this step without communicating with the central leadership, which is a case of indiscipline.”
