Deadly attack on former MLA Anant Singh in Mokama, 'Chhote Sarkar' narrowly escapes


New Delhi. On Wednesday, there was a fatal attack on former MLA Anant Singh in Nauranga-Jalalpur village of Mokama block. Sonu-Monu gang created a sensation in the area by firing. It was told that Anant Singh was on a tour of the village at that time. After the incident, Nauranga village was converted into a police cantonment. Flood DSP Rakesh Kumar is camping at the spot.

An atmosphere of tension in the village, heavy police force deployed

According to sources, Sonu-Monu gang had thrown a family out of their house due to a mutual dispute and locked it. Anant Singh had reached the village to resolve this dispute. Meanwhile suddenly firing started. It was fortunate that 'Chhote Sarkar' narrowly escaped this attack.

Barh DSP Rakesh Kumar said that there was firing at Sonu-Monu's house and the police have recovered three shell casings from the spot. At present there is an atmosphere of tension in the entire village and heavy police force has been deployed.

Political background of Anant Singh

Anant Singh became MLA from Mokama for the first time in 2005 on JDU ticket. In 2015, he contested the election as an independent and won. He became MLA by contesting elections on RJD ticket in 2020, but due to his conviction in a criminal case in 2022, his MLAship ended. His wife Neelam Devi won the by-election on RJD ticket.

Was released from jail last year

Anant Singh was acquitted by the Patna High Court on August 16 last year in the AK-47 and bulletproof jacket case. After this he was released from jail. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this attack.
