Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif enraged by the implementation of the Waqf Amendment Act in West Bengal called Mamata Banerjee traitor.

Hooghly. The famous Furfura Sharif is in Hooghly district of West Bengal. Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif has called West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee a cheater and traitor. While talking to news channel Republic Bangla, Ibrahim Siddiqui used the above words for Mamata Banerjee. Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui alleged that Mamata Banerjee has put the Muslims of West Bengal in trouble by implementing the Waqf Amendment Act. Pirzada said that because of this they will not be able to vote for Mamata Banerjee’s party in the West Bengal Assembly elections to be held next year. He called upon Muslims to save West Bengal and the country.

Actually, the reason for Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui’s displeasure is that Mamata Banerjee’s TMC government has recently instructed the officers to upload all the Waqf properties of West Bengal on the UMEED portal under the Waqf Amendment Act. The last date for uploading Waqf properties on Umeed portal has been fixed as December 5, 2025. Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui got enraged by this order of Mamata Banerjee government. Whereas, when the Modi government got the Waqf Amendment Bill passed by the Parliament, Mamata Banerjee had announced that she would not allow the Waqf Amendment Act to be implemented in West Bengal. Now Mamata Banerjee has come on the target of Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui by taking a U-turn on the Waqf Amendment Act.

This is not the first time that Pirzada Ibrahim Siddiqui has shown displeasure with Mamata Banerjee. In April 2014, a program of Muslims was attacked in Bhavnagar, West Bengal. Even at that time Ibrahim Siddiqui had expressed his displeasure with Mamata Banerjee for not providing security to the program. This time his displeasure can become a problem for Mamata Banerjee. The reason for this is that the number of followers of Furfura Sharif in West Bengal is in lakhs. Till now Muslim voters have been voting in favor of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC.
