Government has directed IndiGo to complete the refund process by 8 pm on Sunday and deliver passengers’ luggage within two days.
New Delhi. Taking seriously the problems of thousands of passengers due to cancellation of Indigo Airlines flights, the Civil Aviation Ministry has now taken another strict step. The Ministry has given instructions to Indigo to complete the ticket refund process by Sunday, for this it has given time till 8 pm tomorrow night. Along with this, instructions have also been given to the airline company to deliver the luggage of the passengers to them within two days. The Aviation Ministry has said in a warning tone that if passengers do not get refund of their canceled tickets within the deadline, then action will be taken against the airline company.

Shortly before this, the government also took action on the increase in flight fares made by airline companies and has clearly told the companies that they cannot charge arbitrary fares. Till date, 571 flights have been canceled at 11 major airports of the country due to which the problems of common people are increasing. There are long queues of passengers at many airports. Due to excessive crowd, neither is there a place to sit nor there is any confirmation whether their flight is scheduled or not. Some passengers became upset to such an extent that tears were coming out of their eyes.

There are some passengers stranded at the airport who are ill. People working in airlines have to face the anger of passengers. Let us tell you that to investigate the Indigo crisis, the government has appointed Joint Director General Sanjay K. A four-member committee comprising Brahmane, Deputy Director General Amit Gupta, Captain Kapil Manglik SFOI and Captain Lokesh Rampal FOI has been formed which will submit its report in 15 days.
