IndiGo announced compensation amount, airline company will also give travel voucher worth Rs 10,000.
New Delhi. Indigo Airlines has now announced compensation after the problems faced by thousands of passengers across the country due to cancellation of flights. Indigo has said that passengers whose flights were canceled will be given a compensation of Rs 5 to 10 thousand. The airlines also announced that a travel voucher of Rs 10,000 will be given to those passengers whose flights were canceled on December 3, 4 and 5 and those who faced extreme problems. This travel voucher can be used during any domestic or international flight booking of IndiGo for the next 12 months.

An update has also been given by the airlines regarding the ticket refund process of the customers. Indigo has said that all necessary refunds for canceled flights have been started. The refund amount has been transferred to the accounts of most of the passengers and the remaining ones will also get the refund soon. Indigo also clarified that the compensation amount will be decided on the basis of flight distance, ticket category and inconvenience caused to the passenger. Indigo has apologized to its customers who faced hours of hassle at the airport due to cancellation of flights.

The company says that we are taking every possible step to make our services reliable and stable again and also to ensure that such problems do not happen again in the future. Let us tell you that yesterday, while hearing the PIL related to this matter, the Delhi High Court had directed Indigo Airlines, Central Government and DGCA to immediately start the process of payment of compensation to the passengers. Apart from this, many questions were also asked to the Central Government. The High Court had also reprimanded the arbitrary fare increase by other airlines.
