Lucknow. There is an Islamic educational institution named Nadwa Darul Uloom in Lucknow, the capital of UP. It is famous all over the world by the name of Nadwa College. The news is that the police has registered an FIR against four people including Maulana Abdul Aziz Nadvi, the principal of Nadwa Darul Uloom. Nadwa Darul Uloom sub-registrar Haroon Rasheed, warden Mohammad Qaiser Nadvi and the security guard at the main gate of Nadwa Darul Uloom are also named in the FIR. Lucknow Police is investigating this matter seriously.

The FIR states that a Filipino citizen was given accommodation in the hostel of Nadwa Darul Uloom. No one, including the principal and warden of Nadwa Darul Uloom, informed the local police that the foreign national was kept in the hostel of the educational institution. Whereas, under the rules it is necessary to give information to the police. It is written in the FIR that the administration of Nadwa Darul Uloom was already told that if any foreign national comes to the institute, then the local police station will have to be informed about him. Despite this, Nadwa Darul Uloom gave accommodation to the Filipino citizen in its hostel and did not inform the police.

The police are now investigating what the Filipino citizen doing while staying in Nadwa Darul Uloom does. Since the matter is serious, the police can take strict action against the accused including the principal of Nadwa Darul Uloom. Nadwa Darul Uloom is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in India. Here, along with modern subjects, students are also taught Islam. Students from other countries also come in large numbers to take education from Nadwa Darul Uloom. The question is, why did the administration of Nadwa Darul Uloom not inform the police about giving accommodation in the hostel to a Filipino citizen? Whereas, even if foreign citizens stay in hotels and lodges, their information also has to be given to the local police.
