Nursery to fifth grade schools in Delhi closed, classes to be conducted online due to rising pollution.
New Delhi. The country’s national capital Delhi is in the grip of severe pollution. The situation is that pollution is increasing day by day. Because of this, the Delhi government has taken a big decision and issued an order to close all the schools from nursery to class five. To ensure that children do not lose their education, they have been asked to run online classes. This decision has been taken to protect children from the ill effects of pollution. This order will be applicable to all government, non-government recognized and private schools of Delhi.

There is a clear instruction from the Education Department that the principals of all schools should immediately ensure that till further orders, children’s classes are conducted through online medium and there is no interference of any kind in this. Children should not be called to school under any circumstances. On the other hand, the first meeting of the Expert Committee formed by CAQM to reduce vehicular pollution in Delhi was held today. In this, there was a long discussion on the main causes of pollution in Delhi. During this meeting, the pollution caused by vehicles of different segments and its risks were assessed. Apart from this, the needs of EV vehicles and its related infrastructure were also discussed.

Let us tell you that recently GRAP-4 ban has been implemented in Delhi-NCR. Under this, restrictions have been imposed on construction works and industrial activities. Apart from this, schools and offices were advised to adopt hybrid mode. On the other hand, Singapore High Commission, expressing concern over pollution in Delhi, has issued an advisory to its citizens to take precautions in this regard. Supreme Court Chief Justice Justice Surya Kant, while looking into the pollution related matter, said today that the matter will be heard by a bench of three judges on Wednesday.
