While addressing the rally organized in Hansi today, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that respecting the public sentiments, it is a matter of great pleasure for me to announce today making Hansi the 23rd district of Haryana. Besides, many development projects were also inaugurated and foundation stones laid, which will enhance the local development here. This historic decision will further empower the administration and provide a new direction and faster pace to the development of Hansi and surrounding areas.

CM wrote on social media post, the affection and blessings given by the family members who attended the rally in large numbers is priceless for me. I heartily congratulate all the senior citizens, public representatives and dedicated workers present on this occasion and express my gratitude for their continuous cooperation and support. Let us tell you that the demand for making Hansi a district was raised for the first time in June 2013. After this, in 2016, the then Haryana government had proposed to create a new Hansi district from Hisar district. It is believed that some villages of Bawani Kheda falling under Bhiwani district will also be included in Hansi district. When Haryana state was formed in 1966, there were a total of 7 districts. Gradually the number of districts increased and currently there are 22 districts which are now going to be 23.
