The world’s largest Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth is being built in Haridwar at a cost of Rs 1000 crore.

New Delhi. As a historic initiative towards the global renaissance of Sanatan Dharma, Indian culture and Vedic tradition, the world’s largest “Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth” is being developed at a cost of ₹1000 crore on the sacred land of Haridwar. This grand project is an effort to establish Sanatan consciousness, religion, spiritual practice, education and service in an organized and authentic form not only in India but in the entire world.

The stone laying and inauguration ceremony of this grand project was concluded on 21 November 2025 in Haridwar with Vedic chanting, Yagya and ritual worship, which is being considered as the formal beginning of this huge global Sanatan project. This event, which took place in the dignified presence of saints, acharyas, scholars and devotees, is being considered an important milestone for the future of Sanatan Dharma.

In the same sequence, a special press conference regarding Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth was organized at the Press Club of India, New Delhi on 19 December 2025, in which the concept, objective, construction plan and global vision of the mega project were presented before the national media.

Grand project of Teerth Seva Trust

Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth is a mega project of Teerth Seva Trust, Haridwar.
Teerth Seva Trust is a registered Sanatan organization, which has been actively working for years in the field of religion, culture, pilgrimage protection, saint service, education and social service. The headquarters of the Trust is located in Haridwar and its area of ​​operations extends to various states of the country.

This grand project is being led by revered Tirthacharya Shri Ram Vishal Das Ji Maharaj, who is the President of Tirtha Seva Trust and Peethadhishwar of Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth. Under his guidance, this project is progressing in a well-organized, long-term and nationally beneficial manner.

Most revered Baba Hathayogi Ji Maharaj said on this occasion –
“Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth will become the center of awakening of the Sanatan soul. Here, religion will not only be a speech, but will become the basis of conduct and life. This Mahapeeth will work to give the right direction to the society through sadhana, service and values. This is a historic and necessary resolution to take Sanatan consciousness forward in an organized and powerful form.”

Guidance from saints, scholars and officials

This project has received the guidance of many eminent saints and scholars. Mainly, His Holiness Baba Hathyogi Ji Maharaj, Mahant Omdas Ji Maharaj, Dr. Gautam Khattar Ji, Shri Shishir Chaudhary Ji, Ms. Deeksha Chhillar (Director – Marketing) and Akash Jugraj (Director – Media and Public Relations) are playing an important role in the operation, promotion and organizational coordination of this grand project.

Phased construction will take place from 2025 to 2032

According to the organizers, the construction work of Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth has been targeted to start from the year 2025 and be completed in a phased manner by the year 2032.

This Mahapeeth will be developed according to Vedic Vastushastra on about 100 acres of sacred land of Haridwar. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹1000 crore.

Major structures developed in Mahapeetha

Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth is being developed as a holistic Sanatan centre, under which –

● World’s first “Sanatan Sansad Bhavan”
● Veda Temple and Vedagarh
● Gurukul and Training Center (Capacity of 2000 students)
● 108 Yagyashalas
● 108 Sant Niwas
● 1008 devotee and traveler accommodation
● Native Cow Protection Center
● Sanatan Time Museum
● Huge Synagogue Ground (capacity of about 10,000)
● Symbolic circumambulation path of 108 pilgrimage sites

Including meditation centres, huge restaurants, libraries, research institutes and other supporting structures will be developed.

World’s first “Sanatan Sansad” model

It was specifically told in the press conference that this will be the world’s first Sanatan Sansad model, where Gurus, Saints, Mahatmas and Acharyas from all over the world including India will participate through their respective traditions and titles. The objective of this Parliament is to provide a more strong, organized and unified form to Sanatan Dharma.

Target to prepare 1,00,000 Sanatan warriors every year

Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth has an important and popular scheme – creation of 1,00,000 (one lakh) Sanatan warriors every year. These youth will be given training in sticks, traditional weapons, self-defense, physical-mental strength, yoga, spiritual practice and discipline. The aim of these Sanatan warriors will not be to attack, but to be always ready for self-defense, protection of family, protection of Sanatan Dharma and service of the country.

According to the organizers, the Shila Pujan held on 21 November 2025 is the first formal step of this long-term resolution. Once fully established by 2032, Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth will give a new direction to India’s spiritual identity at the global level and will become a major international center of Sanatan culture, Vedic knowledge and spiritual dialogue.
