ED attaches assets of Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Sonu Sood, Urvashi Rautela and other celebrities in connection with a betting app.


New Delhi. Properties worth crores of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, actress Urvashi Rautela and some other celebrities have been attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This action has been taken in the money laundering case related to the online betting platform 1xBet betting app. ED has also seized some properties of former TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty, Bengali actor Ankush Hazra and Neha Sharma. Earlier, ED had also attached the properties of cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina.

Yuvraj Singh’s attached assets are worth Rs 2.5 crore while Robin Uthappa’s assets worth Rs 8.26 lakh have been attached. Urvashi Rautela’s property worth Rs 2.02 crore, which was registered in her mother’s name, has also been taken into its possession by ED. Sonu Sood’s property worth Rs 1 crore has been attached. Properties worth Rs 59 lakh of Mimi Chakraborty, Rs 47.20 lakh of Ankush Hazra and Rs 1.26 crore of Neha Sharma have been seized.

In the action taken today, ED has attached properties worth Rs 7.93 crore of all the celebrities. Whereas before this, ED had seized mutual fund investments worth Rs 6.64 crore of Suresh Raina and had attached immovable property worth Rs 4.5 crore of Shikhar Dhawan. With this, properties worth more than Rs 19 crore have been attached by ED so far. ED has found in its investigation that fraud was being committed by transacting money through 1xBet through thousands of fake bank accounts in India. Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had also interrogated Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan and Harbhajan Singh in the same case.
