Shiv Sena UBT President Uddhav Thackeray said, today we both brothers are standing together and will remain together in future also. Maharashtra was eagerly waiting for this day. Our thinking is one, we remember the struggle of Marathi people, their sacrifice, we have to remain united. The Thackeray family has struggled for Maharashtra. Without taking names, Uddhav alleged that people sitting in Delhi are trying to break us, but now we do not have to break. If this happens then it will be an insult to the sacrifice of our ancestors. He said that we will eliminate those who are conspiring to destroy Mumbai.

While addressing the press conference, MNS chief Raj Thackeray said that seat distribution does not matter. We will tell when the time comes which party will field its candidates on how many seats. Raj claimed that only Marathi will become the mayor of Mumbai. It is noteworthy that after almost two decades, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray will contest elections together. Earlier on July 5 this year, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray had shared the stage together. Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS had organized the Worli Dome Marathi Vijay Rally in Mumbai in response to the withdrawal of the government proposal to implement Hindi as the third language by the Maharashtra government, in which Uddhav and Raj were seen together on the same stage after 20 years.
