Rajnath Singh advocates for strengthening women entrepreneurship, citing the examples of Elaben and Jaswantiben from Gujarat.

New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the 25th Foundation Day ceremony of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission at Dharampur in Valsad, Gujarat. He said that the path of liberation which was shown by Lord Mahavir about 2500 years ago, was shown again by Shrimad Rajchandraji about 150 years ago. He laid the foundation of spirituality for the new age. The Atmasiddhi Shastra written by him, guides the seekers even today. Rajnath said, ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal Center of Excellence for Women’ to be opened here will further strengthen women entrepreneurship. Through this, assistance will be provided to women for skill development, livelihood and leadership development etc. Their capacity will be built. They will be given training in areas ranging from traditional crafts to AI.

The Defense Minister said, this will greatly benefit the villagers, poor and tribals of Gujarat, especially our mothers and sisters of South Gujarat. Not only will they be economically empowered but they will also become self-reliant. Women have proven that whenever they have been given equal opportunities, they have performed equally or better than men. I want to remember Ilaben Bhatt ji of Gujarat, who through her organization ‘Seva’ helped countless women by providing them financial independence and making them self-reliant. Similarly, we all have heard the name of ‘Lijjat Papad’ which was started by Jaswanti Ben. This venture has made countless women of Gujarat financially strong.
