Who was Gopinath Bordoloi? Remembering whom Amit Shah targeted Nehru and Congress, Who was Gopinath Bordoloi? Amit Shah invoked him to target Nehru and the Congress party.

New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah today remembered Assam’s first Chief Minister Bharat Ratna Gopinath Bordoloi while addressing a rally in Nagaon, Assam. Amit Shah said, if Gopinath ji had not been there, we would not have had this part of Assam and the entire North-East India. It was Gopinath ji who forced Jawaharlal Nehru to keep Assam in India. Gopinath Bardolai’s contribution towards Assam is considered to be incomparable. Gopinath ji was born in Raha, Assam and fought many battles, raising his voice for the rights of the people of Assam.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had just inaugurated the new terminal building of the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. Modi had also unveiled the statue of Gopinath Bordoloi ji. Addressing the rally, Amit Shah said that we will free the entire Assam from infiltrators, this is our resolve. Those who consider infiltrators as vote banks cannot do this. Infiltrators are a major threat to the national security and culture of Assam. Only those who truly believe this can act on it. Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party which believes this.

Amit Shah said that Assam was once known as a problem-creating state in Delhi. Just yesterday I met the industrialists of Gujarat, they said that Assam will now become the growth engine of the entire North-East and take the country on the path of development. This change came during Narendra Modi’s government at the Center and during the 10 years of Sarbananda Sonowal and Himanta Biswa Sarma’s government here. What did Congress do? They took down the culture and literature of Assam.
